about
The only reason for this page is to assist its humble developers in their noble goal to learn Mandarin. No plan to be perfect (neither this page nor the developer's Mandarin).
We tested it with several browsers. It looks terrible in MSIE, but fairly ok in other browsers.
It is optimized for speed.
Proudly built without Java, PHP, Ruby, MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL and all the other fancy stuff.
Also only with a minimum of Javascript (for toggling color scheme and pinyin display).
We have no ads, no third party content, no sponsors, no cookies, no user tracking. We do not even log what you are reading.
So please feel free to look up the juiciest, spiciest, dirtiest characters. Nobody will know, nobody will care.
